Brian Ashley Jones
is a singer, accomplished lead guitarist, and versatile songwriter. Described as "Blues Grass", Jones' music
is heavily influenced by the guitar driven blues, bluegrass, folk, country, and rock that he absorbed in his hometown, Spartanburg,
South Carolina. Now based in Nashville, Tennessee, Jones maintains
an active touring schedule and performs about 150 live shows per year at festivals, concert series, radio shows, and songwriter
venues as well as leading workshops around the country as part of Nashville Songwriters Association International's Pros
On The Road program.
Jones showcases his writing and playing chops with 11 well crafted original songs in his current release Courier. The swampy
instrumental "Pull 'em Up" has been featured in the widely acclaimed PBS television series Road Trip Nation,
and "Take" earned Brian a finalist position in the 2008 Emerging Songwriter's Contest at the Flat Rock Music
Festival.
Along with his own busy touring schedule, Jones has found time to accompany a diverse batch of artists on stage and in the
studio including Eric Heatherly, Thom Shepherd, Caroline Aiken, Sara Hickman, Jeff Black, John Pennell and Grammy Award winning
songwriter Jon Vezner.
Brian usually appears with his side-player,Tisha Simeral ,
on bass and vocal harmonies. Their fine playing, tight vocals, great energy, and infectious tunes make them an audience favorite.
He can also appear with as a trio adding a percussionist, or as a full band.
Courier, showcases eleven polished original tracks of bluesy, bluegrass-fueled
southern folk. It includes "Pull 'em Up",
featured in the highly acclaimed PBS series Road Trip
Nation.
